General Instructions:

I. All questions are compulsory.

II. This question paper contains 14 questions divided into four Sections A, B, C and D.

III. Section A has 5 questions of 1 mark each. Section B has 4 questions of 2 marks each. Section C has 3 questions of 3 marks each. and Section D has 2 questions of 4 marks each.

IV. Use of Calculators is not permitted.

In Questions 1 to 5, there are four options, out of which one is correct. Write the correct answer.

9. In a year, Ravi earns Rs 360000 and paid Rs 24000 as income tax. Find the ratio of his

(a) income to income tax.

10. Determine if the following ratios form a proportion. Also, write the middle terms and extreme terms where the ratios form a proportion.

(a) 39 litres : 65 litres and 6 bottles : 10 bottles

(b) 2 kg : 80 kg and 25 g : 625 g

(c) 200 mL : 2.5 litre and ₹ 4 : ₹ 50

11.There are 45 persons working in an office. If the number of females is

25 and the remaining are,

(a) The number of female to number of male.

(b) The number of person to number of females.

(c) The number of person to number of male.

12. Present age of father is 42 years and that of his son is 14 years. Find the ratio of

(a) Present age of father to the present age of son.

(b) Age of the father to the age of son, when son was 12 years old.

(c) Age of father after 10 years to the age of son after 10 years.

14. (a) If it has rained 276 mm in the last 3 days, how many cm of rain will fall in one full week (7 days)? Assume that the rain continues to fall at the same rate.

(b): If the cost of 6 cans of juice is ₹ 210, then what will be the cost of 4 cans of juice?
